I have been trying to scale dimensions in accordance with the layout method as per the Autodesk Knowledge Network help resource.

Having trouble dimensioning in modelspace and then getting it to automatically scale up in the paperspace viewport by setting DIMSCALE to 0. Firstly changing DIMSCALE to 0 doesn't work. Secondly if I am in paperspace and then modify the dimension via the properties pallete (under fit/Dim scale overall = 0) then it defaults to the scale of the viewport (in my case 100, for 1:100 scale), but that only scales the arrow sizes and not the dimension text.

Hi,

>> but that only scales the arrow sizes and not the dimension text.

Start command _STYLE to edit text styles. Select the text-style that is used in your dimension-style and on the right side don't use another value than 0 for the height.

The reason is that the dimension needs to change the text-height according to the dimension scaling ... that can only be done if the text-style does not block the text to a specific height ==> that's why option "height" has to be set to 0 in the text-style.

HTH, - alfred -
