Hello, Comunity.

I confuse about spline help document.

All I know is that In the CV mode, 3 Degree means that spline has 4 knots.

So, n Degree = (n+1) knots.

In the help SPLINE Command document (Spline Doc.JPG), it says that degree can set up to 10 degrees.

So I have been believe that I can only set degree up to 10 value

However, Today I get to know that We can set degree greater number than 10 value by using command "SPLINEDIT."

In the help SPLINEDIT document(SPLINEDIT Doc.JPG), it says that Maximum degree value is 26!.

So I immediately test it (TEST.JPG).

Wow, It is true.

What is wrong?.

How are you making use of such high order splines? Are you modeling Mathematical functions?

Hi @Anonymous,

I don't have a ready answer for you but I have reached out to an in-house expert. Unfortunately he is out of the office for a few days but I will come back with any information I can obtain.

I agree though that you can add the additional CV's from 11-26 with SPLINEDIT. I am not sure yet as to why the original creation is limited to 10.

Please select the Accept as Solution button if my post solves your issue or answers your question.
