Deleting duplicate Blocks

I have tried the "overkill" command to find duplicate blocks placed on top of each other by mistake.

It doesn't seem to work for blocks, only entities, unless I am missing something.

Is there a way to do this?

At the moment, I have to select a single instance of a visible block, pretend to do an erase,

and see if it selects more than one. If there is more than one, say two.

I delete the top one by selecting, leaving the one below.

I then have to repeat this for all other visible instances of that same block.

This is an extremely laborious way of doing it.

There must be a better way, the "overkill" method would be much better,

if it worked!!

So there are about a dozen options in OVERKILL command to select from: what did you select or try so far? The defaults do not work for everything all the time, you have to set parameters.

I found some apps in the Autodesk App Store that might work better than the in-the-box Overkill. I haven't tried them but they might be worth a look. I haven't found the OVERKILL to work that well with blocks either. You are welcome to attach a sample file if you would like me to see if I can come up with other workflows.

okay, I have set overkill to ignore all 9 object comparison settings, and it works with blocks selected.

Overkill seems to do the trick for me, once I have deselected all object comparison settings
