Problem in Attaching files

Hi, I was always able to normally attach a file, I would press the "attach" icon (first photo), and it would open a window where I would browse and look for the file that I wanted to attach. Now, I don't know why, it changed. If I press the "attach" icon, it no more opens the window, but I have to manually write the address of the file (second photo).
How can I take it back to the previous mode?

Did you try to type in what I showed?

or read what pendean linked to?

Is it set to 1, or not?

FILEDIA<enter>1<enter>

At the commandline in AutoCAD type

FILEDIA

then tap that <enter> button on your keyboard.

now type 1 (that's the number one), then tap that <enter> button on your keyboard again.

Does the program now act as you want it to act when you attached files?

You seem to be unaware of this alert that probably is asking you to fix FILEDIA and perhaps other variables too
