That’s just to confirm if the freeze has to do with the graphics engine. Have you tried different 2D Display Settings also posted in my initial reply?

Another thing to try would be to see if your graphics driver has an update that can be installed

I have an annoying problem, which I can't address. Working AutoCAD 2025 on a windows system, my screen seems all over sudden inactive, crosshairs turn to the windows cursor and the active command freezes on screen. Clicking in the screen activates it again, but within seconds it seems inactive again. No work is lost, AutoCAD continues, but it's annoying. Clicking to activate the screen again often results in clicking an unwanted point (when a command is active, canceling and restarting the command.

Anyone having the same issue and soved this?

Based on what you are describing... some software running on your PC is stealing focus from your AutoCAD program window: by chance does your mouse button software have a setting that addresses that?

Does your AutoCAD have an add-on installed?

Are you doing something specific away from AutoCAD at that moment?

Share with us your exact OS version, and from inside your AutoCAD share screenshots of your ABOUT and GRAPHICSCONFIG command pop-ups please.

like @pendean posted I wonder if there’s something running in your windows OS that might be interfering with AutoCADs mouse actions. Though I do find it strange that it only happens while in layout but not in model space. Perhaps try disabling all tasks from running at windows startup. Also create a new Windows user login profile with local admin rights. Then login to Windows as that new user and launch AutoCAD to test. Another thing to try is install AutoCAD 2024 or 2026 and see if the problem also occurs in those two versions.

Hmmm... Working in a network, that's not the easiest way. I can't simply create a new user profile
