Is there a way to have multiple inverted Xclips? I use wipeouts as much as possible but a wipeout will block out, not just the desired object, but also what is behind the object. And in most cases I cannot adjust the draworder.

As I look through the posts, I can see this has been a question for a long time. Has anyone developed a solution?

Thank you.

Hi,

>>"Is there a way to have multiple inverted Xclips?" Inverted or not, the answer is no, not to just one Reference object.

>>" I use wipeouts as much as possible but a wipeout will block out, not just the desired object,"

Desire Object? Sounds more for a Layer solution

>>"As I look through the posts, I can see this has been a question for a long time. Has anyone developed a solution?"

Use multiple References..

Or be more creative aboit the ONE Polyline-clip shape! It's not allowed to use self-intersected polylines, but

it shouldn't a problem to go NEAR instead exactely on top.

Unfortunately, that is what I suspected. In our office, we have developed all sorts of "workarounds" to accomplish this purpose but it would be much easier if this feature existed as it does in some of the other CADD programs. Thank you for replying.

The problem is, items inside the Xrefs are not part of your main-file, they are temporary loaded for this file session or until you reload the Xref.

Otherwise it would be possible to hide single objects from your Xref by using smart tools.
