Fields in Block Not Updating

I'm using a title block that displays sheets and sheet of numbers by way of fields that use the layout tab names and the number of layout tabs for the data. The field displaying the tab name works fine but the field displaying drawing of, ie 1 of 20 does not update when I add another layout tab. The drawing originally had 19 layout tabs and I copied and added one to the end to make 20 but the field does not reflect that. It stays at # of 19 and doesn't change to 20. I have tried field update etc and nothing works. I did not create the block with all the fields so I'm unclear as to how to fix it. Thanks for any help.

Hi,

I opened your drawing and see "20 of "19"

The "20" is the layout number ... that is correct on my system, I have not had to do anything with that

The "of 19" is set manually in your drawing properties .. you have to change this value by modifying the drawing properties .. that's how (anyone) has created that field.

For me both is looking ok, I don't see an issue with that (except that you have AEC objects from a newer version of AutoCAD saved back to an older DWG-format, but that's another story.

Maybe you let us know which version of AutoCAD you are working with, which service pack is installed on top of it ... and what I did not understand in your question 😉
