External Reference objects Linetype scale

Hi, I have a drawing with an External Reference. I am wondering if it is possible to change the Linetype Scale of my XREF objects without changing the External Reference Per Se, so I can display everything properly in my paper space.

i suggest from Layout viewport to use VP linetype option from Layer dialog in your attached CAD drawing. just pick inside VP then type Layer then go to VP Linetype and change linetypes as you need.then get out from VP by clicking outside VP or type PS command.

my first previous post was a solution for how to change linetype .... so i come back for your real issue ( linetype scale ). you can change LTS LTSCALE value in your attached CAD drawing (model space) to a proper value that serve your need.

There are three reasons why your XREF Linetypes aren't displaying properly (i.e. it could be one, or all three reasons)

1. The Linetypes that are used in your XREF weren't already loaded in your current drawing. That is, when you look at the layers, the xref layers will have the filename prefix for the linetype (e.g. "Filename:Center2"), so simply replace these linetypes with the proper ones via the Layer Manager.

2. XREF Linetypes will look funky if they are NOT "ByLayer". Try to make ALL linetypes ByLayer within the XREF

3. XREF Linetypes will look funky if they have a "physical" LTScale assigned to them. Assigning a LTScale to a value of 1 will also help.

As I said, it could be one or ALL THREE of of these issue causing the problem. I would open the XREF and work on problems 2 & 3 and then finish off with problem #1
