Hello,

I am new to auto cad and I want to create scaled "2d site plans/plot plans" for residential properties.

Auto Cad is so big and expansive. I just want to be directed to how to specifically draw 2d site plans. Cut out the fluff because I have been spending hours getting no where hahah

1) How do I efficiently draw the site plan in CAD? (trace the screen shotted parcel map? suggestions?)

2) Is there an easy way to download the ribbon presents for this? Avoiding all the non-applicable tools?

3) Is there a directed training for this item as AutoCAD is so expansive?

4) How do I draw over another individual's engineered site plan? (properly just place their layer. Scale it and draw my section)

I have access to the site plans with the dimensions but now I want to extrapolate that to the Autocad 2018. I was previously drawing them on others already developed engineering maps (I am specifically drawing septic system designs for rural residential properties)

Any info would be great! even another program suggestion! some suggested to me canvas X

I have attached some examples of what I want to get to.

Thanks!

Hi,

I would suggest Civil 3D (>>>click<<<) instead of plain AutoCAD as it has more functions I see that you need according your JPG-files.

There are also a lot of tutorials to go through and learn how to use that package >>>click<<<

Good luck, - alfred -
