DYNMODE NOT WORKING

I AM NEW TO AUTOCAD . I RECENTLY DOWNLOADED A TRIAL VERSION OF AUTOCAD ARCITECURE 2018.N STARTED STUDYING. AND I FIND OUT THE DYNMODE IS NOT WORKING. EVEN IT SAYS DYNAMIC MODE IS ON. I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO.

When I click on the dynamode it says on but it doesn't shows up on the cursor

HI,

dynmode can be turned on by F12 and the icon at the status bar and try to set DYNMODE system variable to 3. also there is some settings that you need to check through DSETTINGS command > Dynamic Input tab.

Command: DYNMODE
Enter new value for DYNMODE <3>:

please confirm that the previous three ways are failed ?

What are you expecting to see on the cursor?

When you don't start any command and so you get questions from AutoCAD (to input a distance or a coordinate or to enter options for a command workflow) you won't see anything.

When you start typing, then you'll see your input close to the cursor position - as long as the cursor is inside the drawing area!

Try to type

_LINE

and you'll see that:

When you then type <ENTER> to start the line command, it asks you for a point or coordinates, that looks like that:

Do you see that?

If not please start the same steps and show your screen as screenshots here.

I did but still doesn't show the anything close to the cursor

You should right mouse click in icon dynmode like picture then you choose setting. You check and click all. Good luck

Hi,

your setting of DYNMODE is 2, try 3.

If that also don't help try to reset settings to default as described >>>here<<<.
