I want to set LTS such that when i change or set my template scale then automatically LTS will get set to half of my sheet/template scale.

i.e. if my sheet/ template scale is 2 (scale X,Y,Z) then line type scale should automatically set to 1.

Hi,

>> if my sheet/ template scale is 2 (scale X,Y,Z) then line type scale

>> should automatically set to 1

ScaleX/Y/Z for a block-insertion does not have anything to do with linetype-scale of objects within the block-definition.

So you can scale your block to any scale-value, the linetype will always have the same appearance (after _REGEN maybe).

If I misunderstood anything then please upload the drawing with the objects you are referring to.

Hi @Anonymous,

I am not sure that I really understand the scaling issue of your template but you should be able to create either a LISP routine or an Action Macro that grabs a scale value and then sets the LTSCALE.

Please give me some more details so I understand your question more clearly. I am happy to try to provide a sample macro.

Or, you might add a post in the customization forum if you want to get a LISP routine/help. There might also be some add-ins in the Autodesk App Store that could help.

Please select the Accept as Solution button if my post solves your issue or answers your question.

if your placing your "sheets" on layout tab, set ltscale to .5 and psltscale to 1 and it takes care of itself

If the title border is in Model Space:
One method to visually see what the LTS should be is to create
a dimension object and play with DIMLFAC override as well as
either a prefix or suffix.

For us, I show the Drawing Scale, DIMSCALE, LTSCALE, TEXTSIZE
and (MS) Plot Scale as 5 individual dimensions outside the printing
area. It is embedded into a dynamic block having a scale lookup.
When the scaling is to our liking, this block is exploded (and the
correct values are shown).

DMS: <>

For the workstations here that do not have the "Set environment
based on drawing scale" menu function, they know which settings
are for this particular file's scale.

???
