Linetype scale

Hi,

I got some issue with the linetype scale. In this attached dwg-file I need to change all the lines with linetypescale to “0,1”.

Question:

Does anyone know what is happened with this file? And how can I set the linetypescale to standard again?

The lines in the sample are very short - 100mm. So the dashes will only show if you set ltscale below 0 - like 0.1.

It's bad practice to change the line type scale for individual elements, so either use a different line type or change ltscale to fit your needs.

A bit more information would be useful, because there is nothing wrong with your posted drawing.

What drawing units do you use? - the drawing has metres set.

What is your definition of standard? Do you have a drawing that shows your standard linetypes at ltscale=1?

AutoCAD standard is either inches or millimetres. If you use anything else, you must adjust the provided linetypes or write your own definitions.

Your lines are too short to show the linetypes, nothing more @peter__smith

You should get in the habit of always making linetype overrides longer to rule out an actual issue

It also looks like your mm DWGUNITS setting has the "inches" linetype definitions, did you copy/paste these from another file that was set o inches? This is what your content looks like when ACADISO.LIN linetypes are loaded to your mm drawing file

Hi,

I added another dwg-file (my old dwg.dwg), which the hidden line setting is right. Usually if I draw a hidden line (scale 1:1, standard) then I can see the hidden line. Also the line length is 100mm.

Due to an unknown reason in the “test.dwg” I don’t see the hidden line (scale 1:1).

I use always millimitres.

Hope someone knows, what's wrong with autocad file "test.dwg" setting.

Your MSLTSCALE is ON and your CANNOSCALE is another one!

Are you familiar with the ANNOTATION feature?

Check your anno-scale, CANNOSCALEVALUE

Maybe, I think so. I got this file from my co-worker, who is left meanwhile. so I can't ask him about that.

In your attached file "test-fiexed.dwg" the hidden line setting looks good, what the hidden lines have to appear.

Question:

How do you change setting in the dwg-file?

With which commendo / function did you do that?

Nope

Nope, the reason why it looks good is, because pendean also changed the current annotion scale (and msltscale is still on) - where I pointed to.

Your current annotation-scalefactor is another one, that's why the linetype displaying differently.

set CANNOSCALE to 1:1 and it will looks the same.
