Scaling question

Hello-

I am new to Auto-Cad- My office needs me to get up to speed as quickly as possible-

So first- Anyone on Youtube to look at that would help a beginner?

Also- The scale is completely different in Model vs paper- it that how it should be?

How can I get Paper to scale like the model?

IMHO Take a class, or find a mentor/tutor for some one on one hands-on learning with actual project files from your employer: this complex program is best learned by doing, not watching away from the program/PC without the ability to ask questions and receive immediate answers.

Tip: you always draw at 1:1 scale on modelspace. That's all you need to know.
So a 3foot door is drawn as a 3foot door, a 3000foot stadium is drawn as a 3000foot drawing, a pin-head is drawn as a pinhead. You get the idea.

pick inside VP and type zoom ---> scale ---> 1xp . to see that your vp change to right 1/100 scale. make sure that you have proper vp size frame .

Command: z ZOOM
Specify corner of window, enter a scale factor (nX or nXP), or
[All/Center/Dynamic/Extents/Previous/Scale/Window/Object] <real time>: s
Enter a scale factor (nX or nXP): 1xp
