create a tangent and perpendicular line

Hi all, I'm struggling with something that I feel like there's a button for, lol.

Just looking to create a line that is tangent to an arc while also being perpendicular to a line. Any tips out there? A simple command I'm missing?

Yes .. there is a way for what you ask . BUT you have to post your case as a CAD file or attache an image that describe your issue .

ok, here's an example image of where I need a line. just want to draw a line that is tangent to the arc while also being perpendicular to the straight line.

Use the OSNAPs, perpendicular to snap to the line, then tangent to snap to the arc.

And just to clarify, you don't "have to" post an image or file to ask a question! It sometimes helps for clarity for more involved discussions. 🙂

Maybe it's a language thing, but since this is an English language forum, a better way to phrase that might be:

"Can you please post an image or cad file showing the problem? It would help us, help you"

yes ... it's a language matter if someone cut a part of an answer as you did. the whole post that you cut from didn't have or carry any double meaning or any offence since you and the other guy take it to.

"Have to", in English, means "required".

Attaching a CAD file or image is not required to ask a question in the forums.
