Earthquake Valve

I am working on a project for a client that doesn't have any dwg asbuilts so we are going off of pictures and pdfs. We have to add/replace an earthquake valve but I have never put on of these into autocad before. I have attached an image of what it looks like on their old pdf drawings. I can easily draw a matching symbol in CAD but was wondering if they were any blocks already created for this? Please let me know what you think. Thanks.

For me usually one off items like this i just build a block for it.... then again i work in the dirty dirty south so we are not plagued by earthquakes here. Ill dig through PIP but i dont think ive seen one in their either.

I would check to see if you can get ahold of the manufacture and see if they have a block.

Hi,

in such N.T.S diagrams just draw it as is... since you won't find exact matched Earthquake Valve blocks .

Okay thanks. Yea I just moved from Philadelphia to California so wasn't sure if there was a standard earthquake valve symbol.

If you are in California you may need to ask a gray beard (some one with more experience) . They often play by stricter rules out there.

I just checked PIP and didn't find anything about them.

I don't have Plant 3D on this computer, but there might be one built into that.
