Another option might be to try a different blue between colour 150-160. Your printer might prefer that than colour 5. Also depends on what your CTB file might be applying to the others so you'll just have to double check them.

Hope this helps.

Hi, sorry if this is a super silly question but I can't google the correct topic to help me out.

Is there a color in Autocad that corresponds to a blue color when printed? The RGB 0,0,255 (the blue color on CADD) only prints out purple, and am wondering if I could fix the color issue in CADD rather than dealing with messing around with printer/plotter properties to get it to print out a vibrant blue.

Thank you for your time/help.

Printer: TTP012-246

Plotter : HP designjetT2300_PostScript

Hi,

Have a look to see what your CTB file is set to. You can find it in your print menu (see pictures attached).

In the drop down on the 2nd image it could be that the colour you have picked has been set up in the CTB file to print out at a different colour.

Thanks for your help, Joe!

I took a look at my ctb settings and I have the colour 5 to use its object color (blue). But whenever I print it out, the vibrant blue on screen turns into a dull purple once printed (I know this is due to the differences between RGB and CYMK).

Do you know if there is a select color in CADD that will print blue if possible?

Thanks again,

Jessica

Hi Jessica,

Sorry I should have mentioned before but also check to see if your 'Plot with Plot Styles' is checked. If it is then it will be looking at the CTB file. If not then it will just print what colours you have assigned on your drawing.

Are you able to send a screen shot of your CTB tab when you have selected colour 5? I'll be able to see what properties have been assigned to it.

THanks,

Joe
