I'm posting for the a friend that isn't a member on here which I have been trying to get him to join. He has a problem which I haven't ever seen before. Say you want to rotate text 90 degrees but when he goes into the rotate command and picks his text to rotate it stays on say the left to right like your reading in a book but still rotates. it's hard to explain I have never seen anything like this.

I use grips a lot for rotating things and the rotate command is screwed up with the grips also so he did something and changed something he wasn't aware of.

I'm not sure I understand -- can you post an image with before-and-after conditions? Are you talking about Mtext for which the "box" rotates but the direction of the text content within it does not? [That's my best guess from your description.] Or plain Text somehow? [That's where I can't picture what the description would mean.]

Does the Text/Mtext have some kind of constraint applied that forces it to remain running the same direction?
