Have you tried checking Plot Transparency on the Plot dialog box?

I am trying to plot transparency in autoCAD. I have an xref set to 85% transparent. It shows up in paper space as transparent, however, when I got to plot, I have the plot transparency box checked, but the preview, and when I actually plot it, the transparency doesn't stay transparent. It is as bold as all the other lines. I have messed with creating a layer for the xref and setting the transparency there, I have gone into the xref it self and changed the transparency of each layer I need changed. I have done the fade ctls for x refs and everything else. Why won't this work for me? What am I doing wrong?

Hi,

you may need from LAYER command and when the dialog appeared go to TRANSPARENCY column and start to change the values. now it supposed to get it when you plot with checked plot transparency box in plot dialog .

Regards,

HI @Anonymous,

I see that you are visiting as a new member to the AutoCAD forum. Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

Where is the XREF attached? (Paperspace or modelspace) Are there any overrides in the viewport? Are there any settings in your plot style that would control this behavior? Please eTRANSMIT the files to a ZIP file and attach to a post. I am happy to take a look at this to see if I can make some suggestions.

It might also be worth an AUDIT on each file or a RECOVER to see if there are some drawing errors that might be causing this behavior.

Please select the Accept as Solution button if my post solves your issue or answers your question.
