&lt;P&gt;If you only need 2D functionality I suggest you try AutoCAD LT. Here is a &lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;U&gt;&lt;A href="https://www.autodesk.com/products/autocad-lt/free-trial" target="_blank"&gt;link &lt;/A&gt;&lt;/U&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt;to the Trial.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Here also are the &lt;U&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;A href="https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad-lt/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/System-requirements-for-AutoCAD-LT-2018.html" target="_blank"&gt;system requirements&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/U&gt; so you can verify that your hardware and OS will support the installation.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;I imagine that is possible but you will have to check with your educational institution for information on activation. First I suggest you give the Trial a try to see if it works for you. You can apply the licensing information later if you decide it works well on your computer.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
