trim function doesn't work on hatch

sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. the hatch can't be trim. Could the software engineer fix this bug and make the program a little bit stable...???

Try resetting the EDGEMODE variable

you need to XPLODE the hatch first.

then only you can do trim.

if you do trim directly, it will trim the hatch based on inside objects.

You absolutely do not need to explode a hatch. But you do have to follow the rules of hatching, the new boundary must be closed for example.

Can you specify your AutoCAD release? Can you also attach your drawing file or screenshot here so people can help effectively?

I did a search in case if there is other work around but found you had a similar thread not long ago. Didn't Alfred's tip solve your problem?

It used to be a headache when trimming a hatch with old versions. "Explode" was a trick to this but it was more than 10 years back?

With the recent releases, trimming a hatch should not be a problem.
