This may seem silly but does anyone know how to simply increase the width of a revision cloud's polyline?

Possible answer 1: select the polyline, open your property window, change the property "Global Width"

But there may be other answers as well, depending on

what style of revision cloud you have, it's more difficult if the style is set to "Calligraph"
what you mean as "width" as it could also be meant the width of a rectangular rev-cloud

Maybe a drawing can help to see what you have.

PEDIT.. then select the revcloud.

One of the options is "Width"

Thanks and this works but!!!

When I then go to draw another rev cloud the line width reverts back to the original.

Therefore my question is now - How do I set as default my rev cloud polyline to be the width I want?

Unfortunately I need to draw multiple rev clouds in my present work.

The revcloud style option of "calligraphy" makes a wider polyline when you do your revcloud. It appears to stay set to that style once you've set it that way. (I'm not sure if you would like that style, but it gets you a wider pline cloud anyway)

How 'bout this?

The cloud doesn't have the desired width as you draw it [and if Calligraphic Style is set, that applies in the process], but after you finish it, the width changes to what you call for.

I did it with UNDEFINE and a new definition that embeds the native command, so that you're not limited to picking a specific menu item for it, or typing in a different command name, but can call it up by any means, including typing the name, any menu/ribbon item that calls Revcloud, a command alias, or auto-complete, and you get the altered version.

I put the revclouds on layer CLOUDS and control the line width by layer.

If you're talking about the Lineweight option for Layers, a related approach would be to put them on a designated Layer without a designated lineweight, but give it a color that plots with a specified lineweight. In either case, it would work only if the Revclouds are drawn at 0 Polyline width, because I believe any non-zero width is going to override any Layer-related setting, whether by lineweight or color.

[I prefer the color-based approach, with zero width, because once accustomed to the plotted pen weight settings, no matter how far in or out I am Zoomed, I can tell the relative weights of all the various kinds of linework, and can see at a glance whether something needs to be altered, without having to Zoom way in to compare weights. And all things of the same color plot at the same weight regardless of scale, so there's no need to use a different Polyline width for different drawing scales.]

@Kent1Cooper No, I use the color based method too with a custom ctb. If the OP wants to see the lineweights displayed, he can turn on LWDISPLAY.

Hi,

Why if I set the cloud style to calligraphy is still comes with a uniform width. Can I fix that?

Are your REVCLOUDS in PS or MS? What are your arc lengths?

Can you post a drawing?

Put your revcloud in a new layer with a specific lineweight or just select the revcloud and in the properties panel change the global width to 1. Then use match properties to transfer the new width to all your revclouds.

Or select all the revclouds and go to the properties panel, change the global width

Just select the cloud's polyline ,and change the Global width.
