This is worth a try...

Check to see what object type the text became when it was exploded.

If they are polylines, check the width value(s). If they are not zero width, change them to zero width (using global width property).

hi,

i have explode my text with express tools. now the size wasnt the same but i managed to put it back in dimensions i wanted but my probleme now is when i get to printing my work its all pale neir close to transparent. even if i change le ''calcque'' or the color or the thickness of lines its just keeps on being light blue and not printing at all or really pale. when i do a preview of my printing its dark and seems ok but it does not come out that way at all

i use french autocad so my term may be different but please tell me whats wrong

thank you

jennefer

The text is now just 'dumb' geometry. If there are lines that are printing the way you would like, I would be temped to use MATCHPROP to change your exploded text to look like your other line work.

I see that you are visiting as a new member to the AutoCAD forum. Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

Is it possible to attach a sample drawing that shows this exploded text? I am happy to see what is happening to display it and print it improperly.

Do you mean in your PDF Viewer application (probably Acrobat Reader) the letter look faint? That's because Acrobat Reader's settings, either get another better PDF viewer (Foxit Reader is free and better) or change this setting in Acrobat Reader

There's a bug in the textexp command that sets the results to a lineweight of 0. It does the same thing for flatshot. In model space, select all your objects and, in the properties palette, set the lineweight to "bylayer". Then adjust the lineweight to what you want in the layer palette. BTW, you have 3 copies of the results, which makes the process confusing. The copies that count are off screen in model space.

Please take a look at the attached file. I selected all the entities and then set the Color to Bylayer, Linetype to Bylayer and then assigned a Lineweight of .3mm. Then when I plot, I indicated that it should plot lineweights and not use Plot Styles. This appears to print properly.
