AutoCAD 2017 options

I have installed AutoCAD 2017 but for some reason when i select "options" all the file paths are greyed out and i cannot set the paths for plot styles, templates etc.

Has anyone else had this problem? I can't seem to find a solution.

Can you please open the paths, activate one of the lines by clicking with the mouse on one of the lines .. then please create a screenshot and show us the content.

Hi,

can you please click into the line with the configurable data:

If that line also is not editable it might be a permission issue (not allowed to modify registry, either by settings from IT or maybe some so called "protect all" software?

If you login with another Windows user account, does that look similar?

Many thanks for reply.

The configurable data is also greyed out.

Interestingly I also have Civil 3D 2018 installed and also Acad2016 and I am able to edit the paths in both of those.

This problem Is just restricted to acad 2017.

Wow ...

Last try: what happens when you right-click your AutoCAD start-icon and use option "start as administrator"?

And as we are already at the start-icon ... can you please right-click it again ==> properties ==> shortcut ... and copy the complete content of "target" to this post here. So we can see the options used to start your AutoCAD.

The target is as follows :-

"C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2017\acad.exe" /product ACAD /language "en-US"

There was no difference when i started it as administrator.

sorry, I'm out of ideas now.
I would now run a clean uninstall (>>>click<<<), redownload the software and run a fresh installation.

But maybe someone else here has some suggestions.
