there's an error when you open the dwg but you chose to continue

perhaps that's preventing a proper save?

what happens if you open AutoCAD first then use the Recover command & choose that file to open?

I am having in issue working out an issue with saving my projects. Every time I try to open a save, it reverts to another file completely, and I have no idea why it does this.

I have recorded my screen to make it a bit more clear, as I find it really hard to explain.

link to the recording: https://youtu.be/B88TjG7AK7I

I hope there's a solution to this (and hopefully a place where my savefiles went, as I have lost a lot of progress with this issue.)

Either way, thank you for taking the time to read trough this.

Kind regards

Are you really SAVEASing it into the same folder as the first drawing? SAVEAS does not open in the current drawing's folder, but in the last folder to which you saved something. So you may be simply putting it somewhere you don't intend.

I have thought about this too, but have not found that to be the case.

I have checked my file location once more and it is indeed the correct save location.

Either way, when opening the saved file again (as shown in the video), the date and hour match up the current time, so I can't imagine the actual saved file being stored somewhere else.

Just to be safe, saved it to desktop, opened it from desktop, and had the same result.
