Dimensions wrong in paper space

I have set all the settings up correctly for dimensioning in paper space but when I do the dimension it is showing as 120 for example. But should be 12025mm which is what it measures at. Can anyone help me?

In case the incorrect dimension value is shown for dimensions created with object-snap (to existing model-space objects) ... please upload the dwg file with your dimension object marked which shows the incorrect value so we can look into your settings.

If everything would be set correctly then AutoCAD would show the correct value. 😉

I have attached the dwg file. I have drawn one dimension, however after experimenting it is all that are wrong.

Hi,

edit your dimension style to be not annotative, set it to dimscale = 1 and you'll get the correct value displayed.

Making objects annotative only makes sense for model-space objects, which are then displayed in multiple viewports with different scales.

Thank you for helping, I have just changed it and unticked the annotative box and they're still appearing too small? 418 instead of 41825 or something similar.

And you have created a new dimension? (the old one already has the annotative flag)

Yes I drew a new dimension. It says in the properties annotative no as well.

Hi,

have you used object snaps to create the dimension (in your first drawing you had not, the right dim-point was created in empty space).

Yes I realised that, I tried again snapping them, even on a different measurement and the same thing is still occurring.

Hi,

I don't know what you select (which object snaps are activate when you create this dimension)

When I turn on the ANNOMONITOR I see that this dimension is not anchored to a geometry.

Using command _DIMREASSOCIATE and show 2 end-points resolves the dim-value.
