Is there a way to define a different plot style too different parts of a table style?

To clarify, I am using named plot styles

I also have not been able to use table cell backgrounds successfully. Each time I assign a background to a cell

I get a solid fill that obscures any text. My target goal is to define a light shading to a table cell that plots as a light gray.

Thanks in Advance

-Tim C.

...Each time I assign a background to a cell

I get a solid fill that obscures any text. My target goal is to define a light shading to a table cell that plots as a light gray.

Can you show us what you mean, and a sample DWG to show us your choices? And what it is you are plotting to as well? We've never had much issue with the on-screen or the print results.

Thanks for the file @tim_crouse

These are not TABLE objects at all, issues in them are all related to MTEXT widths that are too long. Can you confirm what issue and where it is that you are experiencing?

This is what PREVIEW shows using your plot style table (thanks for sharing that), arrow is pointing to the only TABLE object in that layout

Re: Table Style Plot Style Settings

@tim_crouse

There are many STYLES in AutoCAD. Here are a few of them:

Dimension styles

Multi leader styles

Multi line style

Text styles

Point styles

Plot style

There are also TABLE STYLEs, which you shouldn't overlook. BTW, just like the styles mentioned above, the default OOTB style might be named Standard.

And within a Table Style there's a ROW style.

Image-1

Image-2

Image-3

Understand HOW styles affect a Table Style and you'll be fine. Ignore them and you'll be relegated to the default styles in your Tables.

Using the default Table is like using the default Standard text style, the default Standard Mleader style, and the default Dim style. Instead of using the default Table Style, create a new one, customize the new style then name the style using a unique name. Stay away from Standard Table, far far away.

Image-4

Image-5
