Layer Manager Issue

AutoCAD 2024

My Layer Manager has a mind of it's own; it's intermittent. However, the Classic Layer Manager never fails.

I open a file with xref, with viewport locked or unlocked, in the Layer Manager, I select "All" and the layers will show, or I select the Xref tree, the layers will show. The next time I open the same file, the "All" and "Xref" will not function. That is, when either is selected, on the right pane, nothing happens, it remains at the previous state. Two out of ten times, the Layer Manager will not work. I always revert to Classic Layer Manager, which unfortunately can not be left opened while working in AutoCAD.

1. Am wondering is there is a variable in AutoCAD that is controlling this issue. If so, why would it be intermittent?

2. Also, I wonder if any of my LISPs is affecting AutoCAD. That I doubt since the Layer Manager issue is intermittent.

I had attached two example videos from my computer, but the site would not authenticate them.

2. Maybe, if they preset layer Filters somehow, but not many folks do that with LISP regularly.

There is no fix for "intermittent", Sorry. There probably is something else going on, hard to tell from over here. Can you get it to appear again if you do somethin specific?

Have you installed the 2024.1.2 Update yet? ABOUT command in AutoCAD will confirm what you have installed. If not, get it from your Autodesk Account Page here https://manage.autodesk.com/cep/#products-services/updates
Restart your PC afterwards.
