Hi Yan, the titleblock (frame) you attached is drawn the correct size but is in a drawing that was based in milliemeters.

I cleaned up the titleblock, changed your Mtext into attributes and then made it into a block called Titleblock.

I inserted this into the paperspace of your Iso-model at 1:1. I then created a Page setup (just as we did together the other day).

Next I created a viewport on a layer designated for viewports and set to non-plot.

Then I set the scale inside the viewport at 1:2.

To construct the geometry, I suggest you create a plan view and then a side view.

You can calculate where the angles are between the views based upon the dimensions given in the exercise. You can then label all the dimensions in plan view if that helps you know how to draw it in isometric view.

I would not worry about the holes and fillets until the end of drawing the geometry. (I just added a sample plan and side view to the attached dwg).

Be careful too, as I notice you draw lines on top lines and lots of short line segments which can make things messy.

Hello there I was wondering if any of you could help me out on how do I do an auxilary view for this piece I have already made the top, front, and right side views I don't know if they are correct if anyone could check them and give feedback it would be really helpful. The thing is that since it is an inclined plane for me to show its true size but don't know how. Thank you for reading this or for replying, have a good day. The autocad file is below along with a picture of the piece

Hi @yan.aquino,

I will take a look for you. Is there any reason to not create these as a 3D model? It is probably faster and then generating the 2D views should be simple too.

There are a few discrepancies from the instructions. the plate thickness for example on the sloped piece measures 5/16" instead of 7/16".

The distance from the back edge of the vertical part to where the angle starts is not matching the 2-3/8" in the image.

I don't see anything else obvious. I will try to take a harder look in the morning. If you want to make those revisions first that would be great!

Is because the teacher said we do the orthographic views and a section view
of the piece, thank you for responding

I know you are still working on your drawing but I thought I would show you the bracket in 3D. Many of your measurements are not correct. I am attaching this as a reference so you can correct your 2D geometry.

If you use viewbase it might help you understand how to draw your different views.

Thanks john is that I'm having real trouble with the 60 degree angles when I try to draw it in Isometric and trouble with the inclined plane at 135% and on how long are the sides that are not 2 3/8" when doing the orthographic ones as well as doing the auxiliary view for the circle. How do you manage to do that ?

I had help the explained me how to make the drawing but as the were explaining the basically did the three views for me so I only really did the section view, but I really had problem trying to replicate the part because we had to do it in isometric so I couldn't figure out how to do the angle and some fillets would tell me that were too long to make and wouldn't let me do them that the third attachment thanks for everything John you have been really helpful good day
