autocad selection issues when hovering solids

I'm currently working on a house model in Autocad 2017 and I'm having issues with selecting solids. It simply doesn't highlight the right solid when hovering solids and I can't select it.

Half way the video I'm holding CTRL to select subobjects (faces) and this doesn't work well either most of the time.

I'm not sure if this is a bug or expected behavior (configuration)? Does anyone know what is causing this and how to fix? It's really frustrating.

Hi,

please confirm that you install the latest updates? you can check from your Autodesk Desktop App .

I've just installed the updates, still the same problem unfortunately.

Try these:

1. Turn CULLING ON - this helps to keep from selecting hidden objects.

2. Turn SELECTIONCYCLING if CULLING doesn't work. At least you are given an option.
