Hi @Anonymous,

Can you share a sample? If the curve is comprised of SPLINES you might try using FIT Points instead of Vertices.

Hi,

New to the forum. I have an issue whereby I've opened a.dwg drawing from Draftsight into Autocad.

I've since added a lot to the drawing however every time I save, close and reopen, I receive the message 'this DWG file was created in an application that was not developed or licensed by Autodesk'. Then when I open the drawing, all the splined curves come out as if they are 'spline fit' ie lots of straight lines, and the radius fillets come out as 2 lines instead of creating the rounded radius. If I click on and off the line the curves then come back.

Is there a way to ensure all the curves come back at once and to stop this continually happening.

Many Thanks

Corrado

HI @Anonymous,

I see that you are visiting as a new member to the AutoCAD forum. Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

Use -EXPORTTOAUTOCAD to save the contents to a new file. This should get rid of the warning message.

If you have a sample file that you can share, I am happy to show the process in a video.

I appreciate that John!

It's 95% of the way there.

If I zoom in now a radius (for example) with be lots an lots of little lines however when I click on it, highlight, and then click off it goes back to being a continuoues curve. Whether this would be noticeable when plotted however is another thing but it's strange that it's still doing something.

I've also tried purging the drawing and auditing the drawing.

Thanks

Very strange. I just did DXFOUT, then I opened the file jsut to check and I'm back at square 1. I've attached a before and after. The first pic is of the drawing after peforming EXPORTTOAUTOCAD, then DXFOUT, closing and then reopening the dxf.

the second pic is once I have highlighted the lines, then clicked off them.
