topic Solid Fill Hatch in Hidden Visual Style Viewport in AutoCAD Forum

Is there a way to turn on the display of solid fill hatching in a viewport with the Visual Style set to "Hidden"? Or the Shade Plot set to "Hidden"? Regular hatching shows up fine, but anything that has a solid fill does not.

I've visited some old threads from years ago on the issue but can't find any that are resolved.

A kind of workaround would be to put identical VPs one over the other. One only showing a layer for solid hatching... ? Or showing all again but in 2Dwireframe.

See this recent conversation

That would be somewhat of a solution, but I have hundreds and hundreds of drawings that I would have to apply that to and right now the desired visual result that I want is not worth the effort involved in layering viewports and changing settings in all of my drawings.

I've been struggling with the same issue for years. Clue was in your post "Regular hatching shows up fine". I just changed the solid fill to a regular hatch like ANSI 131 and set the hatch scale to very small so the hatch lines were very close together. The hatch prints and the fine lines merge into what looks just like a solid fill.
