Hi,

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue and of course, am hoping for a solution. See image below / attached:

I am simply working away when all of a sudden these horizontal lines would appear at every node. The drawing can still be saved ok and the lines have disappeared when I close CAD and then reopen / reload the drawing. It tends to happen probably twice a day. Just wondered id anyone had any ideas?

Thanks.

R

It may be related to graphics acceleration.

can you try turning off graphics acceleration? 3DCONFIG

Hi,

Thank you for your response.

I'm back at work now. I have tried your suggestion of turning off the Hardware Accelerator under 3D Config. It does remove the lines but, the display is very, very flashy. The crosshairs 'jump' around all over the place.

If I go back and re-enable the Accelerator then the lines re-appear.

Any other thoughts?

Cheers,

R

I type these into the command bar and they are not recognised.

Re the graphics cards etc I will have to pass onward to my employer to address as they run the machines and software.

Many thanks thus far.
R2014 is not supported in Win10 sadly http://autode.sk/1IY4C2X

Visit your computer's manufacturer website or NVidia's and see if they have more current drivers for your M1200, then install it. See if that helps.

Hi @Anonymous!

Something to consider:

Make sure AutoCAD is using your discrete Quadro GPU and not the Intel integrated Graphics processor (if present)..

This is usually managed through NVIDIA Control Panel which you can access by right clicking on your desktop..

You can set it to always run AutoCAD on the Quadro GPU from there..

You can also set it to show an icon in the system tray that indicates the discrete GPU usage..

Hi @Anonymous!

It seems Autocad is using the discrete GPU.

Unfortunately I don't have a definite solution, bu if I were you this is how I would address the issue:

1- I would update my graphics drivers (NVIDIA & Intel) before any thing else..

2- I would try disabling the on-board graphics - restart - and see if that solves the problem.. (re-enable it if it didn't solve the issue)

3- I would try disabling the 3D acceleration features one at time and see which one is the culprit, and if disabling in individually would solve the problem without causing the flickering..

4- I don't know why 3D settings are grayed out in your NVIDIA Control Panel and can't be changed, seems a setting somewhere else needs to changed to allow you to set specific settings for AutoCAD.. If you find it, you may also try changing these settings one by one...

5- As a last resort I may try switching from the Quadro to Intel graphics and see if the problems persist..

Regards, and I hope you find your answer in one of these steps..
