Autocad 2018 and Autoquoterx ii from 80/20, does not recognize commands

Anybody here use Autoquoterx ii app from 80/20 with ACAD2018?

I have used earlier versions with no problems but I followed the instructions provided to use these two together and while I get all the menus loaded, none of the commands are recognized when I click on the icons. When I go to appload I see the app (autoquoterx_net.mnl) grayed out in the loaded applications, I'm sure I am doing something very simple wrong, can anyone help me out? need to get a BOM together for a meeting on Monday morning, thanks!

I don't have them installed, don't know where they are at the moment, just trying get some work done and solve this problem

Let's then start with: What are you trying and what was the result (what does the command-line tell you when you try to start any function of that app)?

I installed the application per the instructions and when I click on any of the menu items of the application (the application menu seems to load fine) that should perform commands I get "unknown command" as shown in the second screenshot I attached to my post. Get it?

How did you get the application?

Is the application written for AutoCAD 2018?

Looking to your screenshot looks like the application is installed in the 32bit program files folder, if you have 64 bit operating system (and so 64 bit AutoCAD) that could be an issue ... maybe the application you installed is for AutoCAD x86 instead of AutoCAD x64?

I got it from 80/20, their website says its good for 2018, their download makes no distinction between 32 bit or 64 bit versions that I could find, there is very little in the way of supporting documentation and I need to get this figured out before they open for business tomorrow, that iswhy i am on this forum rather than asking them. When I have used it in the past with much earlier versions of Autocad it was no trouble, just plugin and go bit this brick wall is very frustrating

besides of

try to uninstall and reinstall it
try the same with a new Windows user account (with admin permissions)

I can't do anything else as I don't know that application, even not the type of the app and how it should be loaded.

Hope that someone else jumps in who knows this app.

I'm having same issue, but with student version of AutoCAD 2018 and also tried 2017. Will try to contact company tomorrow.

I uninstalled and deleted all AutoQuoter files and folders. Re-downloaded and re-installed AutoQuoter and now it seems to be working with AutoCAD 2017 student version. Another thing I did that was inspired by one of the suggestions in AutoQuoter documentation was to not use the default drawing that opens when you open AutoCAD, but to open another blank drawing and run the AutoQuoter add-in on that drawing. Not sure what fixed it but hope this helps you!

I spoke with the Vendor this morning, the application needed to be loaded with NETLOAD instead of APPLOAD using the same directories. Knew it was something simple like this, hope somebody else finds this thread and saves themselves some aggravation. Told the vendoe to put an FAQ or something on their page to clarify, we shall see, thanks for the help!

Thanks for posting the solution. To clarify, are you saying the MENULOAD command they describe using in the manual by default does an APPLOAD and instead we should use the command NETLOAD to load their .NET file?

I did both APPLOAD and MENULOAD per their instructions initially; after talking to the technician I simply typed in the NETLOAD and specified the path to the newest *.dll file in the directory, works as expected

here is useful information 80/20's design supervisor sent me, pity it isn't in either the download or on their website, I suggested they might do both. Hope this helps somebody

I have tried changing the security on the directory, using APPLOAD and MENULOAD, and NETLOAD. Double checked it is in the support path. Still can't make it run. I still get the "Unknown Command"

Edit: I have also tried uninstalling and re-installing.

Like them, you need to ask the creator of that add-on about it all.
