Thank for your prompt reply!

Yes, i send crash thorough report dialog almost every time, hopefully it will eventually make difference.

AutoCad is staying open almost all day and one time i really observed that all 16GB memory was full. Usually after error occurred memory only like 70% full. I will keep in mind this suggestion to close and reopen AutoCad every few hours... But today error happened after one hour when computer was turned on from shutdown.

_RECOVERALL sounds much easier than running AUDIT for each related file manually, thanks!

hi I have 2 problems

the message pop out when im doing the work(meking walls, floor, etc..)

1. "Autocad cannot continue you can attempt to save changes into the followingfile up to restart the last command.."

2. "One or more objects in this drawing cannot be saved to specified format. The operation was not completed and no file was created."

usually when i work on something, and the message above pops out, some of my work dissapears

for example im making a floor plan with furnitures, and then the message pops out, then some of latest my progress will be lost, (and i have to remake it again) and that makes me crazy

What should i do?:(

For information im using:

ASUS Vivobook S140UN

Intel Core i5-8250U

NVIDIA GeForce MX150

Memory 8GB

OS Windows 10

Autocad 2018

Hi,

>> What should i do?

First make sure you have all updates installed, to check this start AutoCAD, command _ABOUT and look to the exact version information.
For AutoCAD 2018 (and today) you should see O.154.0.0 AutoCAD 2018.1.1

Also, when you open drawings, start command _AUDIT and see if there are errors in the drawing database, repair them if there are any.

Make sure your system variable PROXYNOTICE is set to 1 so you get an information about objects from other applications, that might help for the error message about objects that could not be saved.

HTH, - alfred -

>> is that outadated?

Yes, it's lower than the one I have shown

>> how to update it?

Either login to the Autodesk Subscription (https://manage.autodesk.com) and download the updates and install then from the downloaded file.

Or start Autodesk Desktop App, make sure you are logged in, wait a few minutes to get a refreshed list of available updates and install them.

Hello,
P.162.0.0 AutoCAD 2019.1.2

2-3 times every week hangs with "AutoCad cannot continue" or have issues with drawing save, as described in this post (sometimes doing AUDIT, and sometimes changing ISAVEPERCENT to different value allows to save drawing).

Also sometimes there are records in Windows log that Autodesk InfoCenter crashed.

Is there any way to deal with this? I guess it is impossible to report this to support team because this error is not reproducible at will...

There may be third party plugin involved but error message come from AutoCad, so it is unlikely plugin fault...

Hi,

>> I guess it is impossible to report this to support team

Whenever you get the crash report dialog ... please send it to Autodesk, even if the crash is not reproducible.

The information helps Autodesk to find details like which module within AutoCAD crashed, which operating system, which graphic card and driver version, and a lot more ... from all reports around the world, even if you can't reproduce that, a developer could look into these statistics which really helps to isolate the issues.

>> 2-3 times every week hangs with "AutoCad cannot continue" or

>> have issues with drawing save

How long do you have AutoCAD open? If it's more than 2-3 hours I would suggest to close AutoCAD, wait a few seconds to have the memory cleaned up and then restart.

Also instead of command _OPEN try to use command _RECOVERALL to open a file, this command looks for errors in the dwg-file (and referenced files, if they exist) and if errors are found you get informed (and AutoCAD tries to heal them).

Do you have some AEC elements that are 2019 format and you are trying to save them to 2013? I just had an issue where I opened a drawing with 2019 and saved to 2019. (my mistake) I then couldn't save to 2013 which is what I normally save as for other trades that may not be using the latest release. I used DWG Trueview to down-save the drawing to 2013 and all was well.
