Command Line Missing On Start

C3D 2018.2 Win7

Whenever I start a new session using the stock profile the command line is missing. I had a weird day when it disappeared and now it is gone forever - on start. I can easily restore it using COMMANDLINE but I'd like to fix it.

any ideas?

Check the CUI to see if it set to show.

1. Open the CUI

2. In the left panel, highlight your workspace

3. In the right panel, expand pallets

4. Click on Command line

5. In properties below, check to make sure that show under appearance is set to yes.

CTRL+9 (alpha keyboard) is much faster than any setting.

Ensure, by clicking on the gear, that your workspace is recorded. There are options.

@tramber - thanks for the ctrl-9 tip. hopefully I never have to use it! my workspaces are set to automatically save. I made sure it was, turned on the command line exited, restarted - no command line.

checked the CUI, command line display was set to Yes under the Show category. Exit & restart reveals ... no command line.

It's curious - I see that the Toolspace palette is in Palettes, too. I've had issues with this in the past - not automatically being on when I start a new session. I ignored this since I do not use it as much. It must be the same ghost in the machine that is causing issues with the command line.

CTRL+SHIFT+H works on palettes in my version ! I don't give it to you if you don't kudo me

Should not. Only those that were previously open ! Those infos are in the registry index, pretty sure. Too bad for you.

Yeah, I have something wacked. I think it is in the profile. I'm having trouble with it finding plotters when I switch profiles. I think I will blast it and start over.
