Hi Alfred

Apologies for the delayed response (real life doesn't allow for IT problems!).

Zip file with dwg attached. The block in question is called LIGHT_FITTING-S (I didn't think the xrefs were relevant so I left them out).

G

Autocad 2018 Fully updated.

I have an issue with a dynamic block (visibility states) that I'm trying to add an attribute definition to. On redefining the block when I ATTSYNC i get the following error:

!winRountines.cpp@460: eNullObjectId

I have copied the block in question to a fresh drawing and redefined it and ATTSYNC'd it with no problem.

The drawing in question (there's actually 2) have been audited with no errors and purged.

Any other suggestions to fix this (short of deleting all references)?

G

Hi,

how about first running command _AUDIT with that dwg-file? Does that show errors?

Hi,

can you upload the dwg-file to see if that happens on our systems too?

Hi,

I can reproduce the issue ... and I can't copy the objects to a new drawing ... and chance that these blocks (or this drawing) was created with a vertical AutoCAD or a 3rd party application/tool/plugin?

Nothing so exotic unfortunately. I do have a MEP license, but it's not been installed for a while.

I got around it by editing the block and saving to a different name, then inserting over the existing blocks - not ideal but it got me out of a bind.

G
