Hi everyone,

I cannot print PDFs with vectors, it is always pixels. I tried changing some plot options, also checked the solutions online, but none of them has worked so far. I took a break from Autocad for a while, but before I never had such problems, so it is extra annoying for me that I cannot make it work. Any suggestions?

Do a screenshot of your plot window and share that here

Or share your dwg that you’re trying to plot to pdf

Nothing that stands out from the plot window and it looks like you’re in model tab with vscurrent set to 2dwirefrane. Perhaps you can share your dwg ?

Also do a screenshot of About command and share that here as well

Yes the About command shows AutoCAD version and if you have latest updates installed. Also share a pdf you plotted from the dwg you shared that is pixelated.

I have attached the screenshot of the about command, however I will now look into my pdf reader to see if that is the problem. Because I am seeing a lot of files with pixels now and I am sure they were not before.

I will update you if I need further assistance or figure out the problem. Meanwhile could you check if you see the pixels as well on the pdf file I attached?

Thank you so much.

I see several problems with the dwg you shared:

1. Lots of attached files are not included like other pdfs/jpgs..not sure if this is the result of the pixelated pdf output. To test unload them all (which is like what I'm seeing now as Unreferenced) and then PLOT to pdf.

2. The Plot window does not show any settings which is very different from the screenshot you shared in prior post. The only PageSetup you have called Portfolio is directed to Microsoft Print to PDF device and the preview shows nothing on the screen. Best to use PageSetup and save the plot settings so you can quickly create pdf with objects you want to include.

Attached is pdf I generated using these settings in the Plot window and does not show any pixelations.

Is this your issue @semraozturk (left in Adobe Acrobat looks messy, right with a different PDF looks smooth)

Then you need to fix your Adobe Acrobat Display settings, the defaults are total garbage for us CAD users

Hi, @pendean

thank you for your help, I checked my settings and they are as you have shown.

But I have realized that my problem is basically, PDF files which I have inserted into Autocad, blurs when I print them, even though they are perfectly vectoral when inserted in Autocad. However, also texts which I wrote in Autocad -not inserted- pixalates. And that I simply find weird.

And I am using Foxit as PDF reader, and I do not have this pixel problem with my old files, I can still view them perfectly.
