When closing an AutoCAD drawing, we are receiving the following error:

FATAL ERROR: Unhandled Access Violation Reading 0x0000 Exception at cf9acfcah

We are running AutoCAD 2018 and all the latest updates are installed. Can anyone help?

Hi @djcusano,

Is this error happening with all drawings or just specific ones? For instance, create a new drawing based upon the ACAD.dwt and then close it. Do you see the error? When it happens, do have the opportunity to submit a crash report? If so, please give me a report number.

Do you have any third party add-ins? Is it happening locally as well as on your network and with all users or just specific ones?

HI @djcusano,

Thanks for the report numbers - I will look them up and see what might be happening. It sounds though as if this is one drawing so ask your user to run AUDIT on the file and then run PURGE and -PURGE>Regapps to see if that eliminates the problem.

The three issues detected in the report are all known issues that the team is already investigating. It appears that the driver for the graphics card is rather old too. I suggest checking to see if a new driver will help overall performance.

Please select the Accept as Solution button if my post solves your issue or answers your question.
