AutoCAD 3D - Extrude not viewable when switching from 2D wireframe to realistic

Good Morning!!

I am working on a laptop screen, I used extrude to change the depth of the screen and the outside of the screen; when I look at it in 2D wireframe it looks good but when I change it to realistic view it looks like one cube. I am not sure what I am doing wrong; I appreciate any advise.

Hi @Anonymous

I see that you are visiting as a new member to the AutoCAD forum. Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

The 3D box for your display is totally contained inside of the 3D box for the frame. I moved it out a bit and it looks ok. So I moved the display part into the frame part slightly and then used SUBTRACT to remove it from the frame part.

Is this what you are trying to do?

Yes, as John said, you're inner box is completely inside the outer box so you can't see it in any view except wireframe and possibly x-ray.
