Hi,

as i understand ... you can use view cube ( upper right ) in your CAD screen . >> Click << also you can turn it on \ off from NAVVCUBE command .

Command: NAVVCUBE
Enter an option [ON/OFF/Settings] <OFF>: on

Not all that quickly, but if you're talking about 2D views rather than a 3D construction, maybe >>this<< is what you're after. You would have to do the same for all 3 views using different axes of rotation, and Move the results together.

I think what the OP is asking is if AutoCAD can take three 2D orthographic views and automatically create a 2D isometric drawing. This a popular task in introductory engineering graphics courses where the students do this manually on paper.

Kent, what you have outlined is how to rotate a 3D AutoCAD object such that it yields an isometric projection when viewed from the front.

A simple search of "how to draw isometric drawing from given orthographic views" in youtube should provide you with a few tutorials,

For example,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h_u0BHKJ0yk

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_6CnL_5Q9o

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8GO0u7mRxvI

Your orthographics may be different but the approach is the same. Your first goal should be to create an isometric box that has the width, height, and depth that is defined in the orthographic views. Can you do that?

Once you have the isometric box it is a matter of dividing it up to define the components shown in the orthographic views. Remember that distances in the isometrc view should be derived from horizontal and vertical distances from the orthographic views. Horizontal distances in orhtogahic view should be measured at angles of 30° in the isometric drawing.

Post here the progress you have made and the orthographic views.

Good luck.
