XREF does not appear

Need help before the Total Eclipse"

I have an xeferenced file that appeared in all the viewports last Friday until the end of the day.

Then, at the end of the day, when I tried to plot the sheet, the viewports were empty.

The xrefrenced file is okkay.

I checked all the layer setting, not there.

Reloading the referenced file was not it.

Detaching the file did noting. The file still is seen in the File Reference list.

Unloading the file merely puts a red x on the dwg logo.

I am at a loss at figuring any other possible solutions.

Any ideas ?

So it doesn't show at all? In either model or paper space?

Have you opened the Xref itself? Perhaps someone modified it and moved or erased everything?

Sounds like a reference location change or deletion. Go to the directories and match file names and directory names to XREF.

Perhaps the xref needs recovery? Try running the Recover command and select the xref dwg file to see if that fixes any issues. Then reopen the parent dwg to see if the xref now shows up. Also try on a new dwg and xref the problem child dwg to see if it works

What makes up the XREF? Annotative objects? If so, turn on Show Annotation Objects. Like others have check UCS and so on.

An XREF tip. Set the XREFLAYER variable to place the XREF on a standard layer.

The referenced file does not show in Model Space, so they do not how in the viewports.

Again, nothing happens when I try to detach the file.

I have verified the path,

I have thawed and turned on every layer.

Nothing appears.

I recovered the 3 files involved and it solved the problem.
