Here is what its doing

Notice the pulled dimension is 45' 5"but when I pull a line its showing 3'9 27/64

ratio is 1 to 1

I want to draw in inches.. the 45'-5" is correct size the lines and extrusions are messed up.. how to fix?

ps, this was a file conversion from archicad..

3'9 27/64 is 1/12 of 45'5". Check what units has for the Insertion Scale. It looks like it may have been inches when it should have been feet (or vice versa).

Note that the properties for the selected dim line is 12 ( at 3:29 in your Screencast) for the Dimension Scale Linear (under Primary Units) . It should be 1.0! Change the Scale Factor for the dimension style to 1 and then scale all by 1/12 (0.083333333)

Note, the units you site at 2:40 has nothing to do with the current units of your drawing. It is used to determine a scale factor when you INSERT a drawing into your drawing.
