Hi,

Can you explain in a bit more detail what settings you are having to change all the time?

You might want to look at putting a LISP together to automate it. There's a lot of them out there already so you might find something that suits your needs to just needs some tweaking to make it work. Lee Mac is a good source for these: http://lee-mac.com/

Hello,

I am currently very new to using AutoCAD, my current use of AutoCAD is opening CAD files from different manufacturers to provide with specific measurements for my customers.

Now what i need to do is have a way to have some sort of "automatic" settings for when i open drawings in AutoCAD, a lot of the times i open drawings i have to manually adjust settings to what i want so i can give the information as it seems not all manufacturers use the same methods or systems(It's not awful but it's time i would like to use to do other things), my ideal plan would be to have drawings open with settings that i've setup myself and would be able to give my measurements without having to manually adjust everything each time i open a file.

Sorry if i am not clear enough, english is not my main language, i will be happy to clarify anything if i was not clear enough in my request.

Thanks in advance
