Looking for a French pattern hatch

Hello,

I am looking for at PAT file download for a french pattern tile (8x8, 8x16, 16x16, 16x24, 24x24) or something similar. Let me know if anyone has a PAT file they are willing to share. Thanks!

I wasn't aware of "French pattern" as being "a thing" of specific meaning, but sure enough....

This seems to do that, with the origin point being the lower left corner of the horizontally-oriented larger tile in the orientation I saw most often in website pictures. It's single-line, but it wouldn't be too hard to make one showing both sides of grout/mortar joints, if you need that -- specify a joint width.

Yes "French Pattern" is pretty common term for this type of pattern from stone suppliers. How do I use this information you sent me? Is this code for a PAT file?

Please let me know.

It is. Save the text to a file called TF8.PAT ensuring there is a blank line at the bottom of the file located in a directory on one of the Support Files search paths specified in Options.

The pattern will be appear on the Hatch Dialog's Custom tab,

An alternative to having a separate file is to add it into ACAD.pat, but first I would make a just-in-case copy of that under a different name, such as ACADoriginal.pat, as a backup. And if you add it at the end, it will need the same empty line at the bottom of the file.

The separate-file approach is good for simplification of migrating to newer versions, but you can make that not too difficult if embedding into ACAD.pat, if you keep all patterns that aren't original to it after some clear indication of where the custom patterns start, so you can easily copy that much to the ACAD.pat of a new version.
