Autocad export dwg to fbx. with attached image files

I wish to export the door I made in AutoCAD (3d) as an fbx. file. I would like to figure out a way for the image attachments (the beige panels) you see in the AutoCAD screenshot, to also be included when I import the door into the program 'Unity'. The grey door is how it looks in Unity. The magenta door is how it looks in AutoCAD. Are there certain export options to ensure that the image attachments are also included? Does the command 'etransmit' have an fbx. option?

What version of AutoCAD are you using? It appears that FBXexport is no longer an option in 2019 product.

Can you share your file on a post? I would like to test the variety of export options to see if this can be done.

AutoCAD 2016 is what I am using at the moment.

That's very atypical for the workflow. You normally use the image to define a material, and apply the material to faces or objects. Then when the FBX is created the material comes along with it.

I'm uncertain if the FBX format, or Unity, even supports image references that way.

Thank you, perhaps I will have to bite the bullet and apply those images as
a material to the door. Rather than free stand in front of their
respective locations

I agree with @dgorsman suggestion of defining the images as materials. FBX however has been a bit quirky so you might investigate alternative formats.

This week I will attempt the approach recommended and I will let you know
if it transfers over to the fbx. file properly
