Please help!

Every time I write something in the command line, for example "L" to draw a line, a tab with an arrow and U comes up, and undoes whatever I've just done.

I can't write anything in the line but the arrow and U comes up in a tab beside the command line and undoes whatever I'm trying to do.

Hope this makes sense to someone and somebody can help!

Thanks,

D

Try Resetting the AutoCAD, may be that would fix the issue. To reset your AutoCAD click on start button and click on all programs and then select Autodesk and again select AutoCAD 2015 and click on "Reset setting to default"as shown in below snapshot.

Thanks for the reply...

If I do that will I lose my plotstyles? And work that I just save to my downloads every night?

I'm not very computer savvy. Most of my work is saved to my downloads, so when I open cad, I can usually find what I'm looking for in "recent cad" file...Will all that disappear?!

d

Before setting to default try starting AutoCAD in safe mode with the /safemode switch. On your desktop create or make a copy of the shortcut to start AutoCAD. Edit the Properties > Target line and at the end of that line add /safemode. Now start up and test for your problem. If it doesn't show up then it is probably a lisp routine loading. Rather than setting to default simply locate the lisp files being loaded and hide them one at a time until the problem goes away. Or edit the acaddoc.lsp file and remark out (place a ; at the start of the line) one 'Load' or' Autoload' line at a time until the problem has been eliminated.

Hi Everyone, thanks for the help.

I'm worried about uninstalling and reinstalling as I'm currently in the middle of a college project!I hate using college computers and I rely entirely on my beloved MAC.

I realised this morning when I tried again, that if I place the cursor in the command box, I can over-ride the U pop-up.

This is irritating but at least I can limp along for the next 2 weeks until I finish college, then I'll do a major clean-out of my computer!

Thanks again for all the advice.

D
