Hello,

I'm trying to help a friend with a problem.

We have a file with many xrefs and layouts.

In each layout we have a specific order of the files and objects managed by Draw order. Even though DRAWORDERCTL is set to 3, when we switch from one layout to another, the order of the objects in the viewports does not stay as we determined.

For example, I could set the right order of the objects in a viewport, switch to another layout and switch back, and the order of the objects will change.

I have attached two screenshots to demonstrate the issue.

The xrefs are on different layers.

Thanks in advance 🙂

Assuming you already know DRAWORDER does not work on viewport-objects in layouts (for content drawn above/under it in that layout) and that is not what you are asking here...

REGENALL command usually fixes graphics-cards not refreshing fast enough, aka the problem you are describing. Since you never mention using it, test that right now.

Do you have a white solid in the background, or why do I miss more objects?

I guess the lines you pointed to and my missong lines (see my blue paint art 😁) are on the same Layer.

Without a wipeout, what could explain this, it looks like a freezed layer.

All objects in modelspace, picture is from layout, right?

And in Model tab it's fine?

LAYOUTREGENCTL and REGENALL are the only variable/command I know - beside your graphics card, driver and setting.

Draworder should work after Re-open your file and after Regenall.

If not

- Problem in all files with an edited draworder?

- check your program updates

- open your file by RECOVER command, run AUDIT YES & QSAVE, Reopen and test it again

Sorry, no better answer in this case.
