Annotation selection list not responding to mouse clicks

when I start a drawing with some of the default templates in AutoCAD 2017 I am not able to click the Annotation Scale Factor list in the toolbar and choose a scale factor from the list. This behavior only happens with some of the default templates. For example I am not able to click and select from the Annotation Scale list when I start a drawing with the ACAD3D.dwt. But when I start a drawing with ACAD.dwt I can click and select from the Annotation Scale Factor list.

I think this is because of a drawing variable somewhere. I have replaced the ACAD3D.dwt from the web which does not change the behavior. All the drawing variables I can find look to be set to there defaults.

3D Won't allow annotation scales in Perspective mode. Right-click your viewcube and change to Parallel mode to get to annotation scales (or set PERSPECTIVE = 0)

Hi,

it will be fixed if you change your workspace to 2D wireframe then press the icon ( as showb below ) . after that if you get back for any workspace it will still work .
