AutoCAD Error Aborting

I am receiving this message "FATAL ERROR: Unhandled Access Violation Reading 0x0088 Exception at d2378a72h" when trying to open AutoCAD 2018. What can I do to get my CAD going again? Please help

Are you clicking on a file to open AutoCAD or are you opening AutoCAD through the start menu?

Hi @Anonymous,

I see that you are visiting as a new member to the AutoCAD forum. Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

I assume this has been working properly until recently. What has changed in your environment? A Windows update perhaps? You could take a look and roll back the updates.

You might also look for a more current graphics card driver.

Lastly, you can run AutoCAD using the No Hardware Switch to see if that helps.

Any word on johns advice of no hardware?
