Hi @Anonymous,

Do you have a sample file that you can share? I am happy to make a Screencast video to how you can set up scales in your dwg.

Typically, once you set your units by picking the correct template or by using -dwgunits, you then draw at 1:1` in modelspace for your geometry.

Your paperspace layouts are also one to one representations of the output size. If this is the case, plotting should be set at 1:1.

The viewport is where you can set the scale of your drawing relative to the output size. This means if you double-click into a viewport, you can then use the scale list to apply the proper zoom ratio to set the scale for that viewport. With multiple viewports on a layout you can also show many different scales at the same time.

Please select the Accept as Solution button if my post solves your issue or answers your question.

Excuse me mister John, if I draw 1: 1 that is a millimeter is equal to 1 mm (millimeter) through the scale command I bring it 1: 100 right?
Or do I do it during the printing phase?
Would it be kind enough to explain to me step by step, screenshot or video as an example?
Thank you.
Best regards.
Riccardo

Hi @rachrick87,

You do not want to use SCALE as that will actually change the size of the geometry. To change the printed scale you can use the Scale list (as I show in my video) or you can even use Zoom 1/100xp.

I hope my video helps. It show that I draw a line 100mm. Then, I go to paperspace and set a paper size for output. Lastly, I double-click into the viewport and set my view scale. The print scale will remain at 1:1.
